After completion of his undergraduate and graduate studies, Dr. Sandip Murarka joined the research group of Prof. Armido Studer at WWU Münster to pursue his doctoral research in synthetic organic chemistry focusing on diverse transition metal catalyzed and transition metal free synthetic transformations. Subsequent to this, he worked as a Max-Planck postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Herbert Waldmann at Max Planck Institute Dortmund, where he worked on the development of small molecule inhibitors targeting oncogenic RAS signalling and on the development of transition metal catalyzed asymmetric transformations. Following a year long stay as a Team Leader in a reputed pharmaceutical company, Syngene Internatiional Limited, he decided to move back to academia and joined Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur, India as an Assistant Professor in May, 2017. Since, June 2022, he is serving the institute as an Associate Professor.
